The Master’s Project consists of a 12 week Lierature Thesis (LT), which aims to provide students with a theoretical basis for their project, as well as teach skills in systematic reviewing of literature and scientific writing. The Literature Thesis is finished by handing in the final report and presenting at the Colloquia. Following, the Master’s Thesis (MT) is started, which usually takes between six and 9 months. Four weeks before graduation, the Green-Light Meeting is held to assess whether the student is ready to graduate. The project finishes at the graduation ceremony.
Both the Literature and Master’s Thesis are started with a Kick-Off Meeting involving the student and all supervisors. During the Kick-Off meetings, the scope of the project and the expectations of the student and supervisory team are established. Administrative topics, such as communication and regular meetings are discussed. During the Kick-Off Meeting, a preliminary date for the Mid-Term meeting can be set.
After approximately half of the project duration, i.e., six weeks for the LT and three months for the MT, the mid-term meeting is held with the student and supervisory team. Here, the project progress is assessed, and the scope and schedule of the project are adjusted based on the progress. Any other arrangements, such as meetings and supervisory involvement and responsibilities, are adjusted as needed.
In the final Phase of the LT, the student iterates on the report after receiving feedback from the supervisor. After approval from the supervisors, the report is handed via email.
In the final phase of the MT, the project is wrapped up by conducting the data analysis, writing the report, and presenting the final presentation. The Green-Light Meeting is planned to assess whether the student is ready to graduate. Four weeks after the Green-Light Meeting, the final graduation ceremony is held.
