The B1150 drives have a RS232 connection to connect to the config port.
To connect these to a pc, it’s useful to have an RS232 to USB cable, like the frankenstein version in the picture below (having converters on both ends).
Connect this to the PC, and log into it from linmot talk (File->Login/Open Offline… , or CTRL+L)
If you get this error during homing
One of the possible causes is that the parameter for the Max current in the position controller has been changed to 15A. This gets recommended whenever you try to change settings using the Motor Wizard for one of the orthosis motors.
If this ever happens, find the parameter by connecting the motor to LinMot Talk, and change the value back to 5A (also, make sure to deselect this parameter when asked to change it to the recommended value).
Parameter can be found under: Motion Control SW\Position Controller\Control Parameter Set A\Maximal Current
